  1. First, use the Income Calculator to estimate your total household income (include all sources for everyone moving in that is 18 years old or older, including wages, tips, and public assistance). The tool calculates gross annual income, which is the total amount of money an individual earns in a year before any taxes, deductions (like healthcare or retirement contributions), or other withholdings are taken out.
