Counties We Serve
Pine, Isanti, Chisago, Kanabec and Mille Lacs Counties
"A stable home is the foundation for strong communities, economic opportunity, and a thriving Minnesota. Yet new research from MHP finds that people in every corner of the state are increasingly struggling to find a home they can afford." Minnesota Housing Partnership
By working in partnership with local governments, private enterprises, and community stakeholders, East Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity maximizes resources to create affordable housing opportunities. These efforts include building safe, stable, and affordable homes as well as providing critical home repairs and modifications such as removing hazards and adding supportive features, such as ramps, door units, grab bars, hand rails, raised toilets and weatherization assistance.
Our Executive Director has set an ambitious "north star" for East Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity: to eventually build at least one new home in each of these counties every year. Building a home in every PICKM county is a bold goal, one that requires land donations, volunteer surges, and steady funding. We may not hit that exact "five-home" mark every year, but we have an unwavering commitment to never leave any part of our community behind. [See Director's Corner.]
